Up for sale are the contents of two vintage print folios, of Yellowstone Park, by Jack Haynes, publised in the 1920s or 1930s. Hayneas was the son of F. Jay Haynes. Haynes the senior set up the earliest stores at Mammoth Hot Springs, and near Old Faithful. When the older Hayes retired, Jack, the son, took over the business, and in 1927 began to expand. Jack would eventually open more stores, hotels, and campgrounds. These prints were sold there as a means of promoting tourism. The prints here are on heavy cardstock, and suitable for framing. They in come two different sizes, 12″x9″, and 13″x10″. There are 14 prints in the larger folio, and 6 prints in the smaler one, for a total of 20. From what I read online, each set was composed of 24 prints, so this sale consists of two partial sets. There is damage to the print of Crater Oblong Geyser, in the larger set. Also, both of the envelopes are falling apart from age. These will be shipped in a cardboard mailer, in turn packed inside a slightly larger box. Leia mais… »
