VINTAGE 1948 SMOKY BEAR FOREST SERVICE SMOKEY FOREST FIRES ORIGINAL BLOTTER CARD Click image to enlarge Here’s a very rare original vintage blotter from the U.S. DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE – FOREST SERVICE, featuring SMOKEY BEAR with his message “Remember, Only YOU Can Prevent Forest Fires!” Produced in 1948 by the State Forest Service, this advertising blotter is in unused, very good condition with minor edgewear and corner bending, light smudging a few creases, and age related wear-and-tear.  The original artwork of Smoky and his animal friends is beautifully done and must be seen to be truly appreciated. It measures about 2 1/2″ by 6″. After 7 decades of storage, this is a great find for any vintage Advertising, Smokey Bear, or Forestry collection.
