Original 1950 Fort Raleigh National Historic Site map brochure, printed more than 68 years ago. It unfolds to 8½” x 18″ and includes text and photographs of the site of Roanoke Colony, the first English settlement in the present-day United States. There’s a full-panel map showing the restored fort and the Waterside Theater of the “Lost Colony” Production. This brochure was compiled by the National Park Service in 1948 and printed in 1950. It is dated in the lower margin. Condition: It is in very good, lightly used condition, bright and clean, with a few faint creases and no rips, tears, or writing.
