1972 Harper’s Ferry Historical Association Poster Philip Frankel & Co. Building Date: 1972 Artist: Unknown Size (inches): 35.25” x 23.25” Size (cm): 89.6 x 59 Condition: B Linen backed: No This vintage original poster features a stylized view of the Philip Frankel & Company building at Harper’s Ferry in West Virginia. Philip Frankel & Company was a men’s clothing store operating around the time of John Brown’s Raid in 1859 which still exists today as an historical landmark. This poster has a 1972 copyright by the Harper’s Ferry Historical Association printed in the lower left hand corner. The printed signature of the artist and date appear on the right edge and look like “Simon” and “11/71” This vintage original poster shows moderate handling wear and short tear of about an inch and a half without paper loss on the bottom edge. The poster shows some slight creasing and bumped edges in spots and there are a couple small tape stains (but no tape) on the back of the poster not affecting the front side. 1972 Harpers Ferry Historical Association Stone Steps Poster National Park Date: 1972 Artist: Unknown Size (inches): 35” x 23” Size (cm): 88.9 x 58.2 Condition: B Linen backed: No This vintage original poster features a stylized view of the Stone Steps at Harpers Ferry in West Virginia. These steps, located in Lower Town, were carved out of shale in 1810 and lead up to St. Peter’s Catholic Church, the Harper House and further on to the Jefferson Rock. This poster has a 1972 copyright by the Harper’s Ferry Historical Association printed in the lower left hand corner. The printed signature of the artist and date appear in the lower righthand corner of the image area and look like “Simon” and “12/71” This vintage original poster shows moderate handling wear and some creasing most notably in the upper left hand corner.
