Official 1939 SEQUOIA NATIONAL PARK Guide Book Maps Trails Photos Sherman Tree

Official 32-page Sequoia National Park booklet, published by the United States Department of the Interior in 1939. It measures 9¼” x 6″ and contains information on hiking trails, saddle-horse trips, road signs, park regulations, tourist accommodations, and miscellaneous services in the park. There are two maps, including a centerfold map of the park and more than a half-dozen black-and-white photographs, including views of Moro Rock in winter and the General Sherman Tree. Condition: This vintage booklet is in excellent condition, bright, tight, and clean, with no rips, tears, or writing. The staples show a bit of rust, and a previous owner has stamped her name on the back cover. Please see the scans and feel free to ask any questions. Vintage 60s American Southwest Nat’l Park Maps/Visitor Booklets, Huge Selection

Up for sale is a large lot of brochures, trail guides and ephemera from national parks in the American southwest. It includes stuff from the Petrified Forest, Meteor Crater, Spruce Tree House, Zion, The Grand Canyon along with road maps of the US and canada. It spans from the 1930s to the 70s and all of it is in great condition. The collection belonged to a relative that traveled extensively across the US in the late 50s, 60s and 70s. After having a family, the trips weren’t as frequent but they never stopped. This is only part of their collection of ephemera from their travels that are being purged after years of attic storage.
