The Jean Lafitte National Historical Park consists of six separate sites and commemorates the natural and cultural resources of Louisiana's Mississippi River delta region. The site is named after French pirate Jean Lafitte but also acknowledges the many cultural influences of the region, including resettled Canadian Acadians who formed the Cajun culture after the transfer of French Luoisiana to Spain as a result of the French and Indian war. The Chalmette site preserves the site of the 1815 Battle of New Orleans between the British Army and the American forces under Andrew Jackson. Add this token to your collection today!
