1928 Travel Brochure for the Cody Road in Yellowstone National Park

This original travel brochure has a printed date in it for 1928. It is for the Cody Road in Yellowstone National Park. Which was the original dirt road into Yellowstone National Park from Cody Wyoming through Buffalo Bill Country. Great cover image of the 1920’s Yellowstone touring coaches driving on the road. Inside there are 12 pages with scenic picture on each page. A map of the road and descriptions of things to see in the park. SUNSHINE VILLAGE BANFF ALBERTA CANADA VERY EARLY 1930s RARE PATCH

SUNSHINE VILLAGE, BANFF, ALBERTA, CANADA – EXTREMELY EARLY FELT PATCH. An extremely rare find. Likely the earliest patch created for the Sunshine ski area in Banff National Park. Long before it took the name Sunshine Village. The patch has two evergreen trees in the snow, along with a large yellow sun with the rays spelling out the word “SUNSHINE”. The building seen at right is a depiction of the Canadian Pacific log cabin lodge that was built in 1928 and was subsequently leased out by Jim and Pat Brewster in 1934 when they began offering ski vacations. This patch rarely if ever comes to market, certainly not in this amazing condition, as it appears to have never been sewn into a jacket. Examples of this patch can be found in the archives of the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies in Banff. NEAR MINT condition. Please see the listing photos and note the amazing detail in the patch.
